Mesquite ISD is conveniently located on the east side of the thriving Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. Our district spans 60 square miles along the I-635 corridor from I-20 to I-30 including the communities of Mesquite, Garland and Balch Springs, as well as areas of the city of Dallas. We serve more than 38,000 students attending 52campuses organized into five feeder patterns,which helpus keep that small town feel!
The city of Mesquite (population 150,000) is a fast-growing suburb with beautiful new housing developments underway throughout the city. Shopping, neighborhood schools and parks are conveniently located throughout the community, and residents enjoy a wide array of sporting activities, cultural events, educational opportunities and leisure activities.
