What is the best start for Aeon's End? ›

Personally I think the expedition based box expansions are the best places to start. Aeon's End: The New Age and Aeon's End: Outcasts . They're nicely self contained and the Expedition mode is a great way to learn along with being an excellent system in itself.

Aeon's End can be won by either reducing the nemesis to zero health or by exhausting the nemesis deck of all cards with no cards in play. You can lose the game by having all mages reduced to zero life, or by Gravehold (the city you are defending) being reduced to zero life.

It is comprised of between 20 and 31 cards, depending on the player count, and is split into three tiers which increase in difficulty as the game progresses. The Nemesis deck contains powers, attacks, and minions, which come from both basic and nemesis specific card pools.

Aeon's End: Legacy of Gravehold is an enthralling legacy card game designed for 1-4 players, with each session lasting approximately 60 minutes.

Best played with: 1-4 players (Best with 2/3)

Aeon's End Legacy takes a lot of what a casual deck builder player would enjoy and layers in the legacy structure that had become the fashionable way to republish succesful intellectual property.

Aeon's End: The Nameless

Despite being just the second small box expansion, The Nameless is still considered arguably the best thanks to its fan-favorite nemeses. No matter where you start, this should still be one of the first small box expansions most players purchase.

Magus of Cloaks is a nemesis from War Eternal. The Magus shrouds itself in layers of darkness, hiding its true form. Only unyielding persistence will destroy each layer, leaving the creature bare and weak to attack.

Aeon's End: The New Age is a standalone sequel to the original Aeon's End. Players will still have a mage character that they play as while they build up a deck of cards to help them fight back the evil Nameless bosses and their minions from attacking their home of Gravehold.

How many mages in Aeons end the new age? ›

The box contains 8 playable mages, 4 nemeses to fight, 22 sets of supply cards, as well as a brand new type of player card, Treasures. It also introduces a new game mode, Expedition Mode and with it the new upgraded basic nemesis cards.

The game has 136 small size cards (45 x 68mm, sku SKS-8803) and 189 standard size cards (63.5 x 88mm, sku SKS-8810). If you want the 'All In" Bundle then you can find that HERE for sleeves for the entire game including expansions!

You may not choose to discard cards during your turn, and may not discard unplayed cards at the end of your turn. You may look through you discard pile at any time, although you may not rearrange it. You may not look through your deck.
