Aeroplan selling points with up to 105% bonus (November 2022)
Probably eveyone got this email. I clicked thru and my offer was 105% bonus if 100K purchased. So $3500 = 205K AE points.
Until November 28, 2022, you could get 105% bonus points or more when you buy or gift Aeroplan points, getting you or your giftee to your next reward sooner!
Rack up extra points for your next reward

No email for me either. Did as you suggested.
The banner on the buy points home page said 105%.
When I click through, I get 110% bonus.

Is there any known logic to who gets targeted for the higher bonuses? My partner bought 600k points a few months ago and is showing a 105% bonus, and my account which has never bought points also shows 105%. Youd think theyd want to incentivize a certain type of customer to buy over others?

I think it's much more likely to be random so that they can run analysis on the data after the fact.

Is ~$0.017/point worth it?
I looked at AMS-SEZ, a destination that seems more expensive than other places in Africa.
Using points would get me a return of ~$.025/mile.
Saves about $1000/ticket.
Can't find many routes where I would come out ahead.
