It was a really good school! I had a lot of oppurtunities for challenging AP classes and even ones that did not have classes you were allowed to take online. You were also able to change your schedule based on what your intended degree is in college. I was able to, my senior year, go spend a period down at an elementary school because I planned on majoring in education. Also the athletics are very good at Anacortes. The whole town rallys behind the sports teams when they make it to state or have impressive matches. From basketball to running to football, Anacortes has good coaches, good athletes, and good facilities. The people there are very friendly. Leadership is a fun class to take and leanr about how the school works. However, at Anacortes, the leadership team is alittle biased when it comes to picking people.

I moved to Anacortes as a sophom*ore in High School back in 2021. I had come from Squalicum High School and was nervous as I knew no one here and was quite introverted at the time. Because of this, as well as a lack of help from the school district with being integrated into the school, I struggled with loneliness and had difficulties fitting in during my first year. However, after some time in which I became more social and began to meet new people, I was able to appreciate this school to a much greater extent. In terms of school culture, I can't complain about much as the students and staff are much more friendly and welcoming than Squalicum. Additionally, it has been a fun year as a senior as our athletic program has been excellent, especially with our football team who won state. Overall, despite a rough start here my experience at this High School has been fairly positive. I am glad I moved here and am happy I will graduate from Anacortes High School.

Anacortes High School is an amazing institution. I made so many lasting friendships during my few years there and cannot speak more highly of the staff. AHS has some truly standout teachers and amazing programs. The AP level classes offered at the school are many and are taught extremely well. I felt very prepared entering college because of the strong educational foundation I gained at Anacortes High School.
