Bobbi Althoff's kids don't know she's famous — and she'd like to keep it that way.

On Wednesday, April 17, the Really Good Podcast host, 26, spoke with PEOPLE at the Fork Milk Kidnap Game Night with Hasbro in Los Angeles, where she opened up about her decision to keep her daughters Isla, 22 months, and Luca, 3, who she shares with her estranged husband, off the internet.

"I feel like it started for so many reasons. One was that when you post your kids online, people will give a lot of opinions about your kids," Althoff says. "I didn't love that. But also, I didn't want to make my kids' Google Search history myself. That's crazy."

"I want them to have their own blank slate to kind of create their own thing. It's really nice not having them online because no one recognizes them. If my kids are at the park, without me, no one's going to recognize them. They're fine. And I feel safe about it."

"And nobody gets to have an opinion about my kids. They get to do their own thing. And this is my own thing," Althoff says.

She also notes that her kids have "no idea" that she's famous.

"Once you do it, you can't take it back," Althoff says of putting her daughters' faces online. "And I learned that with my first daughter. I posted her early on and I can't take those pictures back. They live on the internet forever. And sometimes I feel bad because I'm like you were my trial child and I posted. And then her sister is not on the internet."

As for when she'd be okay with her daughters getting on social media, Althoff says she wishes they'd wait until they were adults.

"When they're older, when they're teenagers, but not even. I feel like if I had it my way and they made the decision for themselves, I feel like they should do it when they're like 25 and then they're fully smart."

Althoff announced she was separating from her husband Cory in February. Shortly after the announcement, Cory filed for joint physical and legal custody of their two daughters, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

The pair, who have been married since January 2020, marked the date of separation as July 4, 2023.
