It is with great sadness that the family of David Dennis Sarkonak announce his peaceful passing in the early hours of June 4, 2023.

David was born on September 1, 1963 in Dauphin, Manitoba to Alex and Alice Sarkonak completing their family of 5 boys. On his 18th birthday he had his first day of work at St. Paul's Personal Care Home as a health care aide where he continue to work for the next 41 years. This is where he met Sheila and they later married on November 5, 1988. Together they welcomed two daughters Jessie in 1989 and Amie in 1991.

While life was busy raising two small children David still found time to help on the family farm as well as invest in the family passion of rental properties.

Throughout the years David was occupied by many different interests and hobbies such as, entering craft sales with his meticulous wood working, hunting, fishing at Stony Point, and his most amazing garden. He could easily be recognized around town by his black truck "black beauty" that he had owned since 1988. The boys will forever hear stories of their grandpa Dave. He will always be remembered by his infectious laugh often accompanied by tears and a slap of the knee with a smile that could light up any room.
