At Duke Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy at North Duke Street, located a few miles north of downtown Durham, our physical and occupational therapists provide individual assessments and treatment plans to people affected by pain. Our goal is to help you manage your pain and improve function so you can once again enjoy daily activities.

We provide initial consultations and ongoing therapy to people who need the following types of care:

  • Care before and after surgery, including joint replacement surgery
  • Chronic pain management
  • Manual therapy
  • Spine (back and neck) rehabilitation
  • Therapy after traumatic injuries (fractures, sprains, and strains)

Duke Health contracts with most major health insurance carriers and transplant networks, including the ones listed below. Before scheduling your appointment, we strongly recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the Duke Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any co-payments, co–insurances, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointmentand your health insurance benefits do not participate with Duke, your out of pocket liability may be higher.
