Shrek in the Backrooms is a Roblox horror game inspired by the backrooms creepy pasta phenomenon. You will have to run around the backrooms and evade the numerous Shrek characters that will beeline towards players. Somewhere in the backrooms will be your escape, but the entities will do their very best to stop you from escaping. Here is how to escape all six levels in Shrek in the Backrooms.

Level 0 – the backrooms
In this level, you’ll be avoiding all sorts of creatures and monsters as you proceed through. Thankfully, it is rather easy to avoid them and escape.
When you exit the safety of the lobby and walk into the backrooms, there is one simply hack that will have you escaping here in no time. Simply hug the right wall and follow it, no matter where it leads and no matter the dead ends it goes through.
If you keep following the wall, you’ll soon see the exit door, wide open for you to exit through.
Level 1 – Motion
This level is super easy, and there are no entities to chase you down.
On the floor, near where you spawn, will be a key. Pick it up. Then, you must simply walk up to each of the houses and try to unlock them with the key. You will eventually find the correct house as you unlock it and walk through it.
Level 2 – Poolrooms
The poolrooms is another completely safe level, with zero entities, so the escape is easy, just a little long.
In this level, you must simply explore the level, until you come across a section where there are small squares in the floor full of water. To quickly reach that section, simply find one of the borders of the map and follow it in one of the directions. You will eventually come across this section.
As soon as you do, you will simply follow the path in its linear fashion. You will soon come up to a small staircase with a black door at the top. Walk through it to escape.
Level 3 – Play Place
This level now is where the difficulty ramps up a little. With a twisted version of Ronald McDonald stalking you, you’d better escape quickly.
On a corner of this moderately-sized map, is a purple slide that leads all the way down to a party room, where the escape is. You must traverse the tunnels, hopefully not getting jumped by the entity that will stalk you.
Go to one of the borders of the map and walk the perimetre until you come across a slide that spirals down. Slide down it, then walk through the door in the room you’ll find yourself in.
Level 4 – The backwoods
Surrounded by trees and harassed by the noise of foliage and insects, the backwoods certainly is an interesting level. Thankfully, it is another easy and safe one, so let’s get cracking.
As soon as you spawn in, go straight to the corner of the map at the other end to the right. There will be a hole behind a rock. Go down there and you’ll find the exit.
Level 5 – Infinite Garden
The Infinite Garden is the easiest level in the game.
A linear path is ahead. Simply keep walking forwards and an elevator door will be ahead. Interact with the elevator to leave.
Level 6 – The Office
This Office is a little more difficult, featuring a warped sort of Shrek that will roam around and chase you. Here’s how to escape.
Around the map will be eight computers. You must hack them and then collect the number that appears by the PC. The number will then appear above your inventory bar. Find all eight numbers and then find the locked door right next to the elevator that you walked in from.
Input the code now displayed on your screen and the door will unlock. Exit through to the next level.
Level 7 – The Elevator
This level may provide many players with frustration. It is easy in principle, but annoying to get through.
Ring the elevator in the room, and step through it. You will be given an option of six floors. You must select the correct door. The level that will work for you is randomised, so you’ll need to keep repeating the level and trying the other floors until you find the right one.
Upon going to a wrong door, a smiler will kill you. When you find the right door, the next level will open up to you.

Level 8 – Room of Doors
Yet again, another safe, easy, yet tedious level. You will spawn surrounded by doors.
Each door leads into a room with four other doors. Don’t worry, those other doors can’t be opened. Your exit, however, will be a randomly selected door that you must try.
So, systematically, open one of the doors and try to open the four doors in that room. If nothing happens, try the next room. You will eventually find the right door that will transport you to the next level.
Level 9 – Level Fun
This level will be timed, so you will need to get a move on. Oh, and watch out for those Partygoers.
You will need to search the whole level for six gifts and then place them on a platform to unlock the exit. You will have a set time to accomplish this in. There will be a few Partygoers that will be chasing you down. As long as you go through the hallways and rooms systematically, you will eventually find all six.
Then, return to the beginning and place all of the gifts there, and the exit will unlock.
Level 10 – The Aquarium
This is a very strange level. Easy and with no entities, you should do just fine.
As you walk through into the aquarium, make sure to twist all of the valves you come across. There will be six across the small map. When you enter the last room (with two valves present), you will see a shark in a tank. In the centre of that room is a small compartment with a PC. Look all around that room for the remaining valves.
Once all six have been rotated, just wait, as the pressure will cause the tank to collapse and flood the aquarium, taking you to the next level.
Level 11 – The Musky Crab
This level features the insane entity that is Shrekbob. And he’s hungry. To escape you’re going to have to appease his appetite.
After about 15 seconds of waiting, Shrekbob will appear. You must run through to the kitchen and close the door. Then go behind it and barricade it. There is a locker full of ingredients that you must open and collect. Also collect the sauces from the stand next to it.
Quickly put the patty on the stove and wait for it to cook. Once it has cooked, pick it up and go to the chopping board on the surface opposite the stove. You must put all of the ingredients down individually. If you fail, Shrekbob will eat you and you will have to start again.
Once the burger is assembled, you will go to the next level.
Level 12 – The Island
The island is a rather relaxing level with no entities.
Around the island are pieces of rope and driftwood. Pick them all up.
Then, go to the two pieces of wood and finish building the raft.
Level 13 – The Warehouse
The Warehouse is a level that is unique from the others. Escaping is easy as long as you are good at parkour :).
The level is essentially a small and easy obby, just don’t fall down, else you will get killed by smilers.
At the end of the obstacle course is the exit.
Level 14 – Level !
This level can be very dangerous, especially if you are too slow.
At the very beginning, sirens will blare and a smiler Shrek will appear behind you. You must run forwards, past the obstacles. There will be some corners, but the path is linear and the obstacles are easy to overcome.
As soon as you reach the dead end at the end of the level, interact with the door to transition to the final level.
Level 15 – Level 188
This level, for the final one, is thankfully easy. The entity, to begin with, at least, is harmless.
Search drawers on the floor you are currently on, one of them will have a key. Jump to the bottom of the strange complex and you will see a padlocked door. Unlock it with the key. Start sprinting down the vents, as the entity from before will start screaming and chasing you. It is faster than you.
You will soon see a bright light in the distance, signalling your escape.
