You did it! You got your tickets to a Cubs Game, and now all that is left is to figure out how to get there! Whether you’re driving, taking public transit, or planning a pleasant walk, getting to this iconic Chicago landmark can be a breeze. Here’s your guide to navigating your way to the friendly confines.

Free Remote Parking

Don’t fret over parking expenses because the Cubs have got you covered with free remote parking at 3900 N. Rockwell St. It’s a gem, located just east of the Chicago River. Accessible from Irving Park Road, this parking lot is a game-changer for night and weekend games. Plus, with a free shuttle service whisking you to and from Wrigley Field, you can save your energy for cheering on the team. Shuttles start their rounds two hours before the first pitch, ensuring you arrive with time to spare. After the game, catch a ride back up to one hour post-game. Pickup and drop-off is conveniently located on Irving Park Road between Clark Street and Seminary Avenue.

Parking Lots for the Seasoned Fan

• Toyota Camry Lot (1126 W. Grace St.): Available on Game Days.
• Toyota RAV4 Lot (1140 W. Eddy St.): Reserved for Season Parking Holders.
• Irving Park Lot (1052 Irving Park Rd.): Open to Season Parking Holders, Combo, and Game Day tickets.

Neighborhood Lots:

Driving around the neighborhood, you’ll find a few parking garages that offer up game day specials. These tend to fill up fast and the prices are variable, but you’ll find parking all around the neigbhorhood!

Chicago Parking Sign or SAT Question, you tell us!

See the sign to the left? This signs means that on regular non game nights, you must have a Chicago 383 Sticker permit starting at 6pm until 6am otherwise you’ll get a ticket! These stickers are only for residents & guests of residents and can be purchased at the aldermanic office if you have valid ID.

Game nights, you must have a permit starting at 5pm.

Otherwise between 5pm till 10pm, they will tow. After 10pm, if you park without a permit you’ll get a ticket.

Next! Morning rush hour from 7-9am. The entire side of the street must be cleared for rush hour. If you leave your car, regardless of any permit/sticker – you’ll get towed.

Phew, that was a lot.

There is also a residential sticker called LV2 – if you find yourself in a zone that says LV2 and you do not have an LV2 Sticker, you will either get ticketed or towed!

Parking App:

YOU STILL NEED TO READ THE SIGNS, those take precident over any parking meter but if you find street parking, you can conveniently feed the meter remotely using the ParkChicago app

Avoid the hassle of traffic and live like a local by taking public transportation!

From Ogilvie Transportation Center:

• Hop on the 157 CTA bus towards Chesnut/Lakeshore.
• Get off the bus at Washington and State, then take a short walk to the Lake Red Line Stop (.1 miles away)
• Board the Red Line towards Howard, then get off at Addison right by Wrigley Field.

From Union Station:

• Catch the 151 CTA bus towards Devon/Clark.
• Get off at Dearborn & Adams and stroll to the Monroe Red Line.
• Take the Monroe Redline North to Howard.
• Exit the train at Addison, and you’ve arrived!

TIP: All of Chicago Transit uses Ventra Cards. You can pick them up at the stations and some convenience stores, but if you download the app on your phone, you’ll be able to simply tap your phone against the reader and go!

Divvy and Bike Share:

Divvy is our city’s bike & scooter sharing program! You’ll find these cruiser style bikes and their docking stations all around the city! The map here show all the divvy stations around the stadium. Rides are typically $1 + 44cents a minute.

Please be aware, Divvy’s have to share the road with cars, so use bike lanes, be vigilent, and obey traffic laws.

How Does The Grid System Work:

Live like a local and walk to Wrigley Field, and let the city’s grid system get you to the friendly confines! After the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, the city’s streets were reborn into a straightforward grid that makes navigating a breeze, especially on foot. Here’s how you can use this to your advantage:

Center of it All: The heart of the grid is at State and Madison in the Loop (which means, 0 North, 0 South, 0 East, and 0 West)

1 Mile = 8 Blocks: Keep in mind that in Chicago’s grid, moving eight blocks in any direction equals one mile. This simple formula helps estimate distances and walking times.

Finding Wrigley Field: Located at 3600 N. Clark Street, Wrigley Field sits proudly 36 blocks north of Madison Street. This means you’re a scenic mile north of the 2800 north (Diversey) mark and one mile south from the 4400 north mark (Montrose). As numbers descends on east/west streets, the closer to the lake you get! On North/South streets, as the numbers go up, the more north you will go, and as the numbers go down, the closer to the loop you will get!

If you’re looking for Wrigley Field, located at the corner 3600 Clark & 1060 W. Addison, and you’re at the cross streets of 2000 N (insert Any Street Name) and 200 W (insert Any Street Name) You will need to go 8 blocks to the west to get to 1060 W. Addison, and 16 blocks north to get to 3600 N. Clark!
