Favourite season of the year. A different bikini everyday, coconuts, ice cold ciders, ella bache’d faces, barefeet, fresh salads, pool parties and friends on the beach. My summer at home this time round, beat them all. But I keep saying that every year. At least I know its always getting better and better :)
What a wonderful December it was with pretty much the best human ever.
After a sneaky road trip to Cape Town and my little Durban stint I spent my days between Cape St Francis, Jbay and the Kromme river. All sunshine, water and fresh air. Most of it was with my family, AK’s family and all the 6312 jollers. Nina Brown came to play over New Years, now that made my little heart happy.
1st day, 1st hour of opening. Getting into it slowly but surely. The frothers.

Billys beach in full force.
Probably the best creation for a December of jols and good music = Billys Beach. Thats what it was, a dam in the middle of nowhere, pilled with sand and a massive dance tent for the whole beach bar vibe. Then there were Lilo’s, umbrellas, pool noodles, Brutal slushies, copious amounts of alcohol and SA’s raddest house/lounge DJ’s, where Ari Kraak tops the list. And I’m not being biased here! The 3 days spent there were enough to make up my December jolling. TOO MUCH GAAAAADAAAAAM FUUUUNNN!!!
AK, Dan and myself. Red bull vodka for days. Thank god (and Cob and Billy and AK) for free tabs.

Swell in the summer? At supers. Stunning days filled of surfing with AK, Steve and Dan out in Jbay. Its rather convenient waking up, walking down the stairs and being in the supers paddle out gully. I lie, its a real blessing. I am the happiest lady thanks to this other incredible human, named – Habib. <3
New found favourite. Well new given favourite. My new summer Von Zipper kini’s are delightful.
Merry Christmas. A tremendously busy one, Christmas eve dinner at the Zoets, Zoetmulder family brunch and ended off with The Kraaks for lunch as well as a pop by to AK’s dad. Oh and did I mention, it all got rowdy after lots of tequila and mojitos with special people. Skinny dips in the ocean too, sneaky buffalos.
Yup, I did catch the bigger fish of the two. Hahah. Thanks for teaching me your skills boyfriend ;)
Everyone had a beach day before lunch. Longboards, tiny waves, beach pool and sunshine. Couldnt have asked for a better day. Jess and Uncle AK <3

Going to miss these incredible times. Might only be just short of 2 months but home is definately home. My family back home, that includes all of you friends too, you all made for an outstanding December. <3
