Fantastic game, localization makes some things awkward

Let me preface this by saying that this game is amazing. The plot is intriguing and exciting, and the gameplay itself is funny and keeps you on your toes. But a few localizations issues might be uncomfortable for western audiences. In the third case of the second game (“Turnabout Big Top”), a sixteen year old character named Regina is supposedly being romanced by a twenty two year old man. This is obviously an error, given that the age of consent in Japan is lower, but its still pretty iffy. Another character who is implied to be in love with her is 30, but it’s unclear if he is actually attracted to her or if he’s using it as a bit (he’s a ventriloquist) with his puppet. The game also depicts suicide in the 4th case of the second game, even showing an image of a woman after she hung herself, and a large plot point of that case features a mentally ill woman who is forced to testify even though the court understands it could result in her suicide. Another character fakes his suicide. There are occasional light swears, including "dammit", and blood is frequent although not gorey. Main characters are kidnapped by serial killers and nearly killed, which may be frightening for children. The messages of the game are usually good, and many killers are shown to be higher-ups or parts of the system themselves. The legal system is entirely inaccurate to the US, and also seems incredibly corrupt (even more so in the later games), and may mislead those who only have a meager understanding of the law. Again, this game is simply amazing and it’s probably my favorite series of all time, but it’s not for younger audiences.

Ease of play

very confused as to why getting punished for wrong answers is seen as a bad thing, like, yeah, it's a video game? If there wasn't punishment for wrong answers you could just shove evidence in people's faces until something works which would completely defeat the purpose of it being a murder mystery game? Anyways, these are great games, I haven't actually played trilogy but I've played all of the DS/GBA counterparts and the stories are all amazing.

A desensitized nine-year-old favorite murder mystery

Honestly, this title is pretty good, however, there is some bloody scenes and go that you should be careful about considering the fact that this is a game about court cases and involving murder you should be careful. Sensitive people should not play this game however, if you think you are desensitized, this game is OK however make sure that you are sure of that.

GREAT GAME; HARD GAME

I love this game, another example of capcom being so good. You play as Phoinex Wright (なるほどるいち in japan) and you solve cases. This may seem simple , but its not. This game makes me sometimes want to rage so hard since it is not very easy. There is mild blood on some death scenes, and it is violent. Some of the women (Pearl fey summoning Mia, the one girl in game one act 2). but it is overall a great game with some of the greatest plot twists.

Derailed my entire life, 10/10

This game rewired my brain. I played it six months ago and not a day has gone by since where I haven't thought about it. Very good. If you like story-based games and/or anime, you'll probably like this. And I do really mean and/or, I say that as someone who doesn't really like anime much, so don't let it out you off. It is pretty anime-eque though. It's got some violence, being a game where you're a criminal defense attorney (there's a murder every single case). A bit of language. Some suggestive designs and statements. Definitely one more for the teens, but if you ARE one of those, I totally recommend it's excellent overall. Second game is the weakest one, especially the third case, but don't worry you can get through it the third game is so worth it.

Great storyline; some mature stuff

Great game. Some touchy subjects - suicide, blackmail, and of course murder. Some cartoon blood and very little gore. Occasional innuendos, rarely "damn"/"hell". Three lines some may find objectionable are at https://www.reddit.com/comments/hfzuml Also some cleavage, slightly revealing outfits, etc shown. The third case of the third game has some weird gender jokes that do show its age.Great storyline. Requires plenty of reading and logic. Lots of multidimensional characters. It's an exaggerated version of the Japanese court system. You might want to watch a video of the first case or two to get an idea of what the game is like.

To be honest, I think this series is pretty suitable for ages 10 and up, it does handle with topics such as murder, but blood is rarely shown. Some of the characters have pretty suggestive sprites, but the most suggestive thing that i've seen yet, is the character April May wic when she winks her breasts do, how do I describe it, breast physics. (For the people who want to know, this is how it looks https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fteeheewink-blog.tumbl…)The humor is, although pretty mature, very funny and had me laugh a few times. For example in justice for all episode 2, you meet a girl called pearl fey, and when detective Gumshoe sees her he says "Here kid, have a look at this, a real life pistol!" and then phoenix says "Gumshoe, don't show her something so dangerous!" wich definetly had me laugh. I also learned some more from this game, I learned what point blanc is, and I, myself was 10 when I started with the series.
