Is Ms. Marvel appropriate for children? ›

The body is seen hitting the ground. Episodes 1-3 seemed suitable for kids around 10, but I would not show this episode to anyone under 13 at the very least. This title has: Educational value.

The Marvels has finally arrived in cinemas, bringing back Brie Larson's Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau and Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan (Ms Marvel). Like most Marvel movies, The Marvels has been officially rated 12A in the UK by the BBFC, and PG-13 in the US by the MPAA.

In addition to the violent scenes and scary visual images mentioned above, The Marvels has some scenes that could scare or disturb children aged 5-8 years.

Language. Cursing is infrequent but expect "badass," "sucks," and occasional mild cultural insults, like when a friend of Kamala's mom calls her daughter's boyfriend "gora" -- i.e., White or not Pakistani. But generally exclamations are quite mild: "Oh my gosh!"

The Avengers are murdered one by one by an unseen assassin. The Hulk's death is particularly gruesome (he swells up and pops into a cloud of vaporized hulk blood). Subsequent episodes are even darker. It's a great show for adolescent and adult viewers, but some episodes are definitely not for kids.

It has many violent and disturbing scenes and scary characters, which makes it unsuitable for children under 13 years and some older children. We recommend parental guidance for younger teenagers who might want to see this movie.

The Avengers is the most kid-friendly Avengers movie, despite intense violence; key violent scenes can be skipped. Spider-Man: Homecoming is light-hearted and focuses on youthful themes, suitable for young audiences. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and its sequel are visually stunning and have a family-friendly tone.

Just like most other MCU movies and its direct predecessor, Captain Marvel, The Marvels is rated PG-13 for “action/violence and brief language." Unsurprising of any superhero movie, The Marvels contains epic fight scenes of all sorts featuring Captain Marvel, Ms.

This movie is very adult

There's at least one graphic sex scene, we see tons of nudity, and hear lots of moaning. The movie is full of sexual jokes like a man saying "let's put balls in holes" only to be referring to an arcade game.

The best Marvel movie so far

No explicit scenes or anything to skip over. There is a bit of swearing but nothing too bad. The violence will depend on your kid. I personally think it would be ok for 10 and up.

Strange World is best suited to families with children over 5 but we recommend parental guidance for children aged 5-8 years.

Although there's plenty of action violence and peril, plus a smattering of strong language (mostly "s--t" and "damn"), this movie is less intense and bloodily violent than some other MCU films.

Kamala Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel, gained her superpowers through an extraordinary event involving Terrigen mists. As a teenager, she was enveloped by these cosmic mists, which reacted with her Inhuman DNA. This transformation gave her the ability to stretch and alter her body, as well as a healing factor.

Ten to Eleven

This age you can start to introduce some popular movies, but certainly try to stay light on the violence. Spiderman is king during this age! Spiderman (2002) – This might have a 12A rating, but its not too violent a movie, and the older rating will make children feel like they are allowed a special treat.

Ms. Marvel is a great title for exposing teens (and adults) to a religion they might not have had much exposure to, as well as being a great introduction into the genre of graphic novels. The book itself is meant for teenagers, but I feel like it could be read by adults and mature kids.

All the marvel cinematic universe movies are rated PG-13, and all of them aren't too scary for children, they are just superhero movies with some action scenes.
