What is the easiest spawn region in Ark? ›

If you are a beginner survivor, you will want to spawn in the South of both maps. The south is where surviving will be the easiest. In addition, the tropical islands on the center are a great place for a beginner survivor.

The Island is definitely not the easiest map. But with the other maps it depends what kind of easy you are talking about. Looking at the story maps, Gen 2 is the easiest based on survival but Scorched is the easiest to complete.

Central South Crescent Coast

This southern section of the map not only provides a large amount of space for a base, plenty of tames, and growing crops, but it's also one of the safest early-game spots.

There are way too many missions, all of which consist of doing the same things repeatedly. The companion NPC, HLNA, also gets annoying after hours of playing the map. These reasons combine to make Genesis 1 the worst Ark: Survival Evolved map.

Genesis: Part 2 is the biggest map in ARK: Survival Evolved so far and consists of a gigantic spaceship with two rings, which is divided into two main areas. The separation is formed by a kind of bridge called "Tek Trenches". One ring is "The Eden Zone".

Rag has almost all. It's just missing the Deathworms and Phoenix from Scorched Earth, and as the desert area of that map is finished off perhaps those will be added, we'll have to see. But certainly Rag is the most complete of all the dino collections.

Scorched Earth's Desert Is Ark's Smallest Map

The smaller size is actually good, considering how the map's unique temperature mechanics affect the game. Besides size, Scorched Earth introduces new weather mechanics that can drastically affect moment-to-moment gameplay.

This creature can be found on Scorched Earth in The World Scar, on Ragnarok in the Dragonmalte Trench and Wyvern Cave, on Valguero in The Great Trench, on Lost Island in the Wyvern Trench and in the trenches on the Fjordur map, with each Wyvern found In a different realm.

If your character is Cold and/or Injured, they will become hungry faster. If your Food reaches 0, you will Starve, draining your Health at approximately 1 hp per 5 seconds, and gradually increasing Torpidity. Food can be restored by eating Berries, Meat, Crops, Jerky, Eggs, or Custom Consumables.

How to make dino spawn faster in Ark? ›

Search for the “DinoCountMultiplier” setting. If the setting is missing, follow the gif below to add it. Change the value to what you would prefer. 1.0 is the default, 2.0 doubles the spawn rate and so on.

The Redwood Pond is one of the best base locations on The Island, with plenty of pros and only a handful of cons. Players that build here will have access to drinkable water, as well as plenty of space to build large bases.

For 'The Center' map the common spawn locations tend to be near any obelisk, as well as around 55,45 or cruising around the entirety of Jungle South. It's worth checking around lava island too.
