i've been thinking about how to make these for ever! i'm glad i thought to look it up, this is so different and much easier than the way i was thinking they should be made lol. i didn't exactly follow the recipe, but these were sill pretty good. next time i will follow the recipe better. main problem was i left out the bacon bits, i didn't have any and didn't feel like cooking bacon. big mistake lol. mine also needed some salt, but i expect the bacon would have helped there. instead of frozen broccoli i just chopped up some leftover steamed broccoli from the fridge. i used a cookie scoop to portion them out, then compacted each one a bit before rolling in bread crumbs. they were still a little loose so i popped them in the freezer to firm up a bit before frying and they held together great. they're a little time consuming, i think next time i'll make up a large batch of these (following the recipe lol), flash freeze, and pop in a gallon ziploc. then i can cook however many i want from frozen and not have to go through the mess. :)
