Hi, since WoE has become boring and now I've slowly transforming to become a PvM player. I want to try to do ET. For almost 5 years, I can say I've been to ET less than 10 times with guildies which means I'm a totally clueless. I'd like to prepare myself as much as I can before I step in. Although I cant find a detailed ET guide anywhere i.e what gears to use, tips, tricks, etc. Is there such a thing where I can read nad understand the nature of MvPs found in ET? Thanks ~

Well, To be specific ... if you can share your inputs/experiences here :3

1) FBH (demon/shadow)

> What shield card is best used here? Should I use Alice card orKhalitzburg card?

I think Alice is fine because his slave Banshees are weak but IMO, which one is better of what gears I should specifically wear when fighting FBH?

>Chiu armor or Flame dragon armor do you use?

2) Ifrit (formless/fire)

I think Alice is a bad idea because his slave Salamandies hit hard.

> Should I use Lucius's Fierce Armor of Volcanoor Piety on any armor should be alright?

3)Beelzebub (demon/ghost)

I am told that his slave insects hit hard :/

As simply as google it lol. Check the floors, figure out what you will need, it varies depending on the class you are. Is not the same going as gene than WL or sura.

There's really nothing much to guide apart from the usual see MVP, see what skills type they have (to wear right armor), see what element they are (to use converters if necessary), check their aspd/atk (to see if worth wearing DR). That link provides a direct link to all the mobs inside ET.

1. Khal, adds aren't boss type.

2. Alice, all his adds are boss property.

3. Alice, Hell Flies are again, boss property.

- You only need a nightmare card if you aren't tanking.

Ifrit shouldn't give you any issues, really. I've been downing him pretty quickly (<60 sec with Inspiration) with good ol' CS/VP. His EQ isn't instant, so you can King's Grace right through it if you have it (but cmon, get a GTB already! even I have one now ). Reflect gear + Bear's Power with CS is fantastic, as I'm sure you know. If you're having problems out-potting damage, make a buy shop for Unripe Yggs and hoard 'em up. That 20% flat heal with no cooldown is amazing.

I don't think that a extra Khal shield is necessary for any mob in ET. For FBH, you should be able to easily wipe the banshees when he recasts them, put on Alice.

i'd only done ET once up to samurai floor when we were lvl 108ish, and he wiped us. we haven't done ET since.

I currently main a ranger (120 dex 120 luk). I'm a solo player, though i can i ask my sister to play my alt sometimes.i wanna make a tank for my ET run. i don't want it to be sura. so what's the next best tank after sura? can you tank with bishop up to the last floor?

rg is good, rk is decent too, ab is alright as well.

A basic guide would be immensely helpful to a lot of players, myself included.

Been trying to learn it by myself for a while now and I'm fine with most of it but a few MVPs still elude me as to how to best defend against them. Like Hibram for example.

Only recently managed to get the whole thing completed solo on my Gene through extensive token usage. (40-ish...feel free to laugh at me)

How to best damage them is pretty obvious based on elements but the defensive side would deserve a small guide IMO. Especially when they can use skills from multiple types

and deal crappy damage with some, but very high with others so what element to go for is not always obvious. Most of their skills I don't even know what element they are supposed to be.

If you can accept using 2-3 Res tokens during ET you can be like 50% less prepared for everything.

Also, for actual 'noobs' (not gene's trying to solo the whole thing) the best thing you can do is just try it out and see how far you can get. Try and learn from the experience and where you got stuck and come more prepared for that specific thing the next time. Its a learning curve. Better off trying it than over thinking it. As long as you make it past floor 5 you've already gained most of the benefit until you get to floor 95 or something. Tower doesn't really make much Zeny all things considered. Just a bunch of MvP card chances.

I usually just go to floor 80(FBH Floor) quickly and call it a day solo on my Gen. I don't need tokens and I don't really have to swap equips much. The skill level gets higher past that floor at least in my opinion.

Maybe next time I'll bring all the elemental armors and see how far I can go.

Yes how do you enter ET and kill GTB 3 times/char/week?

And no worries, I only farm for fun. When I do instances, its not because I want to farm zeny. I dont do instances daily/regularly xD

I've been curious about this. What is WPs official stance on this one? Is it considered as bug abuse? Or is it perfectly normal?

I've removed the post on detailing how to exploit the ET bug. If you wish to report a bug and how to reproduce it please make a report to the support team about it.

Exploiting bugs is never encouraged, doing to risks having your account suspended. Just don't do it.

But no one has ever been suspended/banned for exploiting the ET bug. Ever. There is no risk associated with it cuz if there was, everyone would be banned by now or ET would've been removed from the game.

Then have them lazy kRO bastards actually fix the problem. It isn't that difficult. They can fixed Sealed Shrine, Nidhoggur's Shadow and a whole flurry of other instances left in the dust while they are at it.
